Read the Bible a Year - Numbers 9-11
Today's inspiration comes to us by way of Numbers 9-11 as we study the Bible in a year. Let's have some fun now. In Numbers, chapter 10 (which will be our focus), did you know that the year 2022 is found there? It is! This is amazing... look what is says in Numbers 10:11, "On the twentieth day of the second month of the second year"... 2022 - isn't that awesome? Did you know that March is found there also? Numbers 10:28, "This was the order of March for the Israelites divisions as there were set out..."
I told you we were gonna have some fun with this today!
So what is the Holy Spirit telling us this "March" of "2022"? Well, let's find out. This chapter is about listening and responding to the sound of the silver trumpets when they are used. In case you didn't know, silver represents redemption. God is telling us that every time you hear the sound of the silver trumpets, it is to remind you that you have been redeemed.
You have redemption from sickness, fear, worry, poverty, lack, sadness, all the curses of the fallen world. God instructed Moses that the trumpets were to be made out of hammered silver, not a mold. This was done to remind you that your redemption came at the cost of Jesus who was beaten for our redeemed life. In fact, Isaiah 52:14 in the message bible tells us the beating He received for us was so severe that you couldn't tell if that were a human being - wow!
So what are our marching orders this 2022- not only are we to hear the sound of redemption in our churches all the time and every day - we are to use scripture verses as trumpets and declare - "salvation has come! This is the day the Lord has made... let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!"
It's 2022 - a year of light, life and love.
Isaiah 60:1 - "Arise, Shine for the light has come and the Glory of the Lord is risen upon you!" Come on - sound the trumpet! You are redeemed!
